Sentimental Father...........

I went years and years building up 'manly' skills like breaking and fixing stuff, and working on how to play 'God save the Queen' in burpspeak. Then kids come along, and for some reason I now blub all the flippin time, whats all that about eh??!! It's just not fare.

For instance
there I am happily doing my 'manly' stuff like knocking a nail in the wall or digging a hole in the garden, (possibly including a bit of spitting and crotch scratching whilst showing my builders bum - like a true man) and then one of my kids comes up wearing their wellies wondering if they can help me. After a while like kids do they get bored and want to go and do something else, but not before they say 'love you dad' (thats the killer). They walk off and leave me in a blubbing sobbing piggin mess, i'm biting my lip or gulping to stop this aura of softee sentimentality from taking over, but I lose everytime. How can i carry on working after that eh!

Nobody told me when I was agreeing to having children with my wife that I was also opening up the floodgates of emotions!! I just dont want them. I want to be blokey and scratch and fart like the good old days. :-)

The truth of the matter is this, I'd never want to be without them, just wished it didn't mean I was destined to be a wuss. Oh well, better watch out for your bras ladies as I might be needing one soon at this rate!!

What has brought all this on? It's this video from a band called Nizlopi and I just hope my kids feel like this about me when they grow up. Play it through and bask in my soft sentimentality. Then please make as many abusive comments as you'd like, I deserve it all!! (for my blokey mates you'll be pleased to know it includes a JCB digger)
Ladies and Gentlemen please give your attention to the JCB song, enjoy.....

BTW - I also like this song by Nizlopi too called 'Girls' check out the video.

I love, love, love Nizlopi - their album is our current in-car CD and me and my 9-year-old son sing "I'm Luke, I'm 5 and my Dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his JCB" at the top of our voices over and over. Fantastic!

The kids and the crying - it's brutal! I've been blaming hormones!

Yeah, and just wait till they're old enough to dedicate a song to you at Monday Night Karaoke and buy you a Jager-Bull shot. That'll really slay ya'! Face it - you'll be blubberin' over 'em for the rest of your life. Suck it up, pal!

awww, this is cute :-)This is the same way kids drive you nuts (at least mine does), they make you over react to every emotion! If they drive you crazy, you are for sure going to pull your hair out. If they make you sad (by saying something like I hate you), you are for sure going to cry more than you would if some random perosn on the street said it. And the same goes for happiness. They make you incredibly happy with everything else they do. or in my son's case, in everything he says. He can't speak much, so when he does talk, it's something special :-)

thanks for the comments guys - hope you enjoyed the video too. Sentimental I know. I just hope my kids have good memories of their childhood and the times special times with their dad. I personally dont have any memories that were special between me and my dad which is a bit sad. I have made a concerted effort to have a better relationship with him now.

dapoxetine 30 mg is used to increase control over ejaculation and to extend the time before reaching ejaculation in men. Increased serotonin levels may extend the time before ejaculation by slowing the pathways in the body associated with premature ejaculation.
